(Rocky River) - Indians closer Chris Perez's home is the subject of a drug possession investigation by the Rocky River Police.
Rocky River Police say no charges have been filed and no arrests have been made yet. Perez and his wife rent the house at 19850 Parklane Drive where a controlled substance was delivered Tuesday.
“Earlier this morning we were made aware of a situation involving RHP Chris Perez that occurred yesterday in Rocky River,” said Cleveland Indians GM Chris Antonetti. “We have talked with Chris and are currently in the process of gathering additional information. We will not have any additional comment at this time.”
Rocky River Police say West Shore Enforcement Bureau and the US Postal Service were involved in the investigation. They are not saying if Perez himself is under investigation
Perez is not with the team as they continue their series against the Yankees in New York.
