Norovirus outbreak closes Brunswick Schools

(Brunswick, Oh.) A norovirus outbreak has lead officials to close all Brunswick City School District elementary and middle schools.  The schools remain closed until Tuesday, May 28th.

The district's website had the following statement:

"In order to stay cautious and put the health of our students first, and after consultation with the Medina Co. Board of Health, we have decided to close all Elementary and Middle schools in the BCSD for the remainder of the week. Brunswick High School will remain open during this time, as it has not experienced drops in attendance. We are confident classes and activities will resume next Tuesday, May 28 (after Memorial Day)."

The district also sent out a phone alert Monday afternoon to students' homes.
