(Cleveland) - Positively Cleveland is working to improve the city's image and its attractiveness to tourists. The organization is working with international experts to make the city easier for visitors to navigate. They also want to spruce up the on street experience.
Positively Cleveland's David Gilbert says the city's pathways are sometimes confusing to visitors, and many don't connect downtown to civic and cultural attractions in the neighborhoods.
Gilbert tells Newsradio WTAM 1100 they are attempting to improve Cleveland's online presence, to make it easier for visitors to connect to popular attractions.
Also underway is a program which trains hospitality employees, like bartenders, waiters, and cab drivers to be better ambassadors for Cleveland.
Gilbert maintains it all an effort to attract and retain more visitors, which creates jobs and boosts the local economy.
