Nurse admits guilt in murder-for-hire plot

(Cleveland) - A former Cleveland Clinic nurse has pleaded guilty to federal charges in a murder for hire plot.

23-Year old Andrew Martin of Bristolville, in Trumbull County, was accused of offering $10,000 to a patient at the Clinic to kill a 79-year old woman in a dispute over ownership of a house on Clifton Boulevard in Lakewood.

Martin pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and illegally obtaining private health information. Martin faces up to nine years in prison when sentenced July 18.
