Bernie says Richardson was Browns "best offensive" player

Bernie says Richardson was Browns

(Cleveland) - If anyone knows what Trent Richardson is feeling, it's Bernie Kosar.

Fans were shocked when then coach Bill Belichick released Kosar half-way through the 1993 season. Belichick told a press conference Kosar was suffering from "diminishing skills."  Some Browns fans came to the next home game in Kosar masks.

But there are no "diminishing skills" for Trent Richardson. The Browns drafted him third overall in 2012 and he was rated as the best running back prospect since Adrian Peterson.

Kosar talked with WTAM 1100's Mike Snyder and Mike Trivisonno Thursday morning about the trade. Kosar says it's a wake-up call for all players in the NFL. If you don't play up to expectations, you can be considered expendable.
