Cleveland honors local barber

(Cleveland) - Roosevelt Pendleton has been honored by the city of Cleveland. Pendleton has been cutting hair at 'Pendleton's Barbershop' in Cleveland's Collinwood community since 1966.

Pendleton, Monday, had a stretch of Vashti Avenue renamed 'Pendleton Way' in honor of his business which is coming up on 50-years of operation near E. 124 and Vashti.  He was one of the first African-American business owners in Collinwood.

Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson, Cleveland City Councilman Eugene Miller and many of Pendleton's barbershop customers showed up to honor the man they call not only a barber, but also a father-figure, psychiatrist, loan officer and dear friend.
