(Cleveland) - Republican Party officials are in Cleveland Wednesday to review the city's bid for the 2016 GOP convention. Site selection committee chairwoman Enid Mickelsen says a "technical visit" team is visiting to make sure hotels, venues and transportation all work smoothly together.
Visits are have already been made to the other five citites in the running for the convention, including Cincinnati.
Mickelsen says the cutdown to the finalists for the 2016 convention will be made after the visit. A full visit by the GOP's site selection committee will then happen in mid-May.
Mickelsen says the host city must be able to pull off a flawless event to focus the nation on the party's nominee.
