(Akron) - An Akron football coach will be off the sidelines while he's under investigation for allegedly abusing his players.
Akron Public Schools officials say Firestone High School coach Tim Flossie is suspended indefinitely.
Flossie is accused of verbally berating one player and slapping another after last week's game, a 24-0 loss to Archbishop Hoban. Flossie is in his ninth year as the head coach at Firestone.
Firestone are set to play Copley on Friday.
