(Springfield Twp) At Approximately 8:20 p.m., officers responded to the Mash Oil gas station located at 2279 S. Arlington Rd. for an armed robbery report.
The clerk of the gas station stated that an individual entered the station wearing a ski mask and brandishing a hand gun. The suspect then pointed the gun at the clerk and demanded money.
The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money, in a blue mini-van being driven by another individual. The suspect’s vehicle was traffic stopped a short time later by a Summit County Deputy Sheriff.
Further investigation discovered an “Airsoft” pistol, ski mask, and the stolen money in the vehicle.
Detectives concluded, that 30 year old Melissa Sue Smith entered the store, and her husband, 29 year old William F. Smith IV, drove the vehicle.
