Reward money offered in search for Cleveland beating suspects

(Cleveland) - Cleveland Police are searching for the suspects who left a mentally challenged man near death following a beating shortly after 1am on Aug. 14.

47-Year old John Rager is now in stable condition following the attack which took place shortly after he got off a bus on E. 152 Street.

Rager was headed home from a Cleveland Heights bakery where he has worked the past fifteen years.

He was picking up empty cans, which he often does to supplement his income, when he was attacked. Rager suffered two subdural hematomas, skull fractures, lacerations and bruises.

Cleveland City Councilman Mike Polensek is outraged at the attack claiming Rager was harmless and that he was attacked by "thug-monsters".

A $2,000.00 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrests and convictions of whoever is responsible.
