(Cleveland) - Some Cleveland Police officers involved in the deadly November chase that ended in the deaths of two suspects have been subpoenaed to appear before a grand jury.
The officers are expected to appear today and Thursday in connection with the chase which started near the Justice Center downtown and wound its' way into E. Cleveland where suspect Timothy Russell and passenger Malissa Williams were shot Nov. 29, 2012 in a hail of gunfire.
Officers say Russell tried to mow them down with his car following the chase. 13 Officers fired 137 shots into the vehicle.
Cleveland Police Chief Mike McGrath, last month, announced the suspensions of 63 officers for speeding and failing to get approval to join the chase.
