The Cleveland Indians are ready for a big reveal

(Cleveland) - Saturday will be a big day in Cleveland Indians history, as there will be a big celebration honoring former Tribe slugger Jim Thome.

The team will unveil a statue of Thome tomorrow in Heritage Park, the same spot where he blasted one of the longest homers ever in Progressive Field history.

The statue is in place, but is surrounded by a curtain, ready to be unveiled.

Thome is the Indians all-time home run leader, belting 337 dingers from 1991 to 2002.

Number 25 also hit a club record 52 homers in 2002 while leading the American League in walks that year while batting .304 with 118 RBI. The statue unveiling will begin at 5:00 p.m. before Saturday night's game.
