The Browns had a light walk through today as they prepared to take on the Rams on Thursday; here are the notes from the light practice.
-The Browns made news before they hit the practice field on Tuesday by signing Long Snapper Christian Yount to a 5 year contract extension. Yount is an easy going Californian who has fit in here in Cleveland quite well after having to replace Ryan Pountbriand mid-season two years ago.
-It was another day in Berea that had Trent Richardson on the field but not doing very much. With Richardson and Montario Hardesty out Dion Lewis has taken the bulk of the snaps with the first team and played quite well. So much so that Coach Chudzinski even said that he is looking forward to seeing Lewis preform under the lights.
-Chudzinski said that most of his starters would play the 1st quarter Thursday night, then the backups will play the 2nd quarter and some may even play into the 3rd quarter.
-Chud wouldn’t say if Richardson would play but all signs point to him sitting out the contest.
-Today was the first day of camp that the team actually ran other teams formation, the Browns worked on the Rams sets as they prepare to face the Rams.
-Jason Pinkston was excused early from practice because of a family emergency.
-Shaun Lauvao missed practice with whats being termed an ankle injury. Chudzinski said he will further update us on the injury on Wednesday.
